A RescueTime alternative
that stays in your browser.
TabInsights tracks where your Chrome time goes, then turns the biggest time sinks into blocking rules in one tap. No account, no cloud sync, no sign-up. Everything runs on your device.
Who this is for
RescueTime is built around tracking your whole computer and reporting back through an account. That's the right tool if you need desktop-app tracking or team reporting. But if most of your day is in the browser and you'd rather not hand your browsing history to a service, you may want something lighter and more private.
Insight, then action
Most trackers show you a chart and stop there. When TabInsights notices that social or entertainment sites took a big share of your day, the insight comes with a Block these button that lists exactly which sites it will block. One tap turns them into rules, and an Undo stays available for a few seconds if you change your mind.
What you get
Automatic time tracking
Every site you visit is logged as you browse. No timers to start, no categories to set up first. Daily, weekly and all-time charts show where your hours actually went.
Insights from your own data
Plain-language insights such as top distractions and how your time splits between productive and distracting sites, generated on your device from your browsing data.
Blocking and focus built in
Block sites permanently or during a Pomodoro-style focus session. Pro adds daily site time limits and scheduled blocking.
Private by design
There is no account system and no analytics server. Your data stays in the browser. Details are in the privacy policy.

Honest limits
TabInsights only sees what happens in Chrome. If you need to track time in desktop applications, or want reports across several devices, a desktop tracker is the better fit. TabInsights is the better fit if your work lives in the browser and you want it to stay private.
